Although BBC America hasn’t released the entire video feed from the completely terrific Doctor Who panel that took place last Sunday in the mighty Hall H of Comic-Con 2012, they have created this lovely little video recap that does a nice job of capturing the highlights, including Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill performing adorable impressions of each other.

Joining Gillan and Darvill on the panel were Matt Smith, new Executive Producer Caroline Skinner (The Fades), and Executive Producer and lead writer Steven Moffat. The panel was moderated by the best moderator in Hall H, Chris Hardwick, whose next The Nerdist specials will air July 28 – The Nerdist: Comic-Con at 9/8c andThe Nerdist: Tribute to Toys & Games at 10/9c.

Featurette: Doctor Who – Comic-Con 2012 Panel Recap

You’re lucky they spared you the Season 6 scene they played for us. Not because it wasn’t amazing, but because it was beautiful and heartbreaking and had us all crying – the scene from “The Girl Who Waited,” when older Amy is at the door of the TARDIS telling Rory to tell younger Amy that she is giving her the days. WAHHHHH.

It was disappointing that we didn’t get a premiere date during the panel, but we still have our best guess pencilled in, and will likely get official news soon.

Doctor Who Season 7, starring Matt Smith, Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill, and Jenna-Louise Coleman, may be premiering on Saturday, August 25 at 9/8c on BBC America.
