Cillian Murphy Says Nolan’s INCEPTION “doesn’t fit into any genre”

So far, Christopher Nolan has been able to keep the lid on his latest film, Inception.

Actor Cillian Murphy who was in Nolan’s Batman Begins and The Dark Knight was also signed on for Inception and he recently spoke to MTV about the film and said;

“This is my third film with Chris, He showed me the whole script. It’s very very complex and amazing. I’m hugely excited for next year when it comes out.”

“It’s conceptual. It doesn’t fit into any genre, There are elements of different types of things in it but it is all from Chris’ imagination. I’ve never read anything close to it before.”

[Rant]

While Murphy didn’t exactly overload us with information about Inception, knowing that he has seen the entire script, and feels that it defies genre’s is definitely a good thing. What sucks is that we get to wait until July 2010 for any real answers.

In a world of remakes, reboots and a pretty good influx of spoilers about every movie on the planet, I kind of hope Nolan can keep everything locked down on this movie. Imagine that, an original concept film that hasn’t been leaked everywhere prior to it’s release… virtually unheard of these days.
