Chuck’s Yvonne Strahovski Scores the Female Lead In I, FRANKENSTEIN

Earlier this week, we brought you the exciting news that character actor Bill Nighy (Jack the Giant Killer, Total Recall) had joined the cast of the big-screen adaptation of I, Frankenstein as a villainous demon prince opposite Aaron Eckhart’s Adam, Frankenstein’s monster.

Now, Deadline reports that Chuck star Yvonne Strahovski (My Mother’s Curse) has landed the female lead in the film based on Underworld co-creator Kevin Grevioux‘s graphic novel I, Frankenstein. Strahovski will play Eckhart’s love interest, “a beautiful and gifted scientist.”

Synopsis:

I, FRANKENSTEIN is a modern-day epic:  Frankenstein’s creature, ADAM, has survived to present day due to a genetic quirk in his creation.  Making his way to a dark, gothic metropolis, he finds himself caught in an all-out, centuries old war between two immortal clans.  As writer/director, Stuart Beattie said, “Mary Shelly’s story is about the creation of the first human being.  This is the story about that being becoming human.”

I, Frankenstein is slated to hit theaters on February 22, 2013.
