In 1992 The Death of Superman rocked American culture to it’s very core, breaking the hearts of fans and even making prime time news. Looking back from our present vantage point, we see that event as the horrible marketing strategy it was. A cheap parlor trick to get people to care about the Man of Steel again. Ironically, it worked but still we can’t look back on that event without feeling a little betrayed.
