I have to say, this whole faux documentary/found footage “thing” (for me at least) has really been wearing out its welcome. Don’t get me wrong, I do like it when it’s done right, but it usually comes off as pure gimmick… much like 3D. Enter the virtually unknown film, Chronicle.
Chronicle seems to be the first found footage, sci-fi superhero film, and from the looks of the trailer it may have actually been done right. Check out the trailer, synopsis and poster below, and let us know what you think in the comments.

Synopsis:
Three high school students make an incredible discovery, leading to their developing uncanny powers beyond their understanding. As they learn to control their abilities and use them to their advantage, their lives start to spin out of control, and their darker sides begin to take over.
