The latest casting news for HBO’s most anticipated fantasy series adapted for television, Game of Thrones, is that Charles Dance has landed the role of Tywin Lannister, lord of one of the most wealthy and powerful families in Westeros.

Dance joins a star-studded cast including Sean Bean, Lena Headey, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Peter Dinklage, Michelle Fairley, Jason Momoa, Emilia Clarke, Aiden Gillen and Mark Addy. The HBO series is based on the George R.R. Martin fantasy novel series, A Song of Ice and Fire.
