Next year we will be expecting The Disney Channel live-action original movie, Descendants which will focus on the offspring of some famous Disney legends, namely the villains. With production set to start in the spring, casting is already rolling.

Anyone who has The Disney Channel on quick access won’t be surprised to hear that the latest Disney darling, Dove Cameron (Liv and Maddie, Cloud 9) was the first cast. According to THR, she will be playing Mal, daughter to Maleficent (the witch in Sleeping Beauty). She will be playing opposite newly cast Aussie, Mitchell Hope, who will be playing the good-natured son of Queen Belle and her King, the former beast (Beauty and the Beast).
