We have brought you some decent set pictures of Director Joe Johnston‘s upcoming Marvel Studios film, Captain America: The First Avenger starring Chris Evans (Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World), but none of them featured any real ‘characters’ from the film.

Now, thanks to The Daily Mail we have our first look ay some action on the set and the first look at Captain America… sort of. The pictures include Chris Evans‘ stunt double, wearing the stunt version of the star spangled superhero’s costume. There are also pics of a forties style car and futuristic motorcycles emblazoned with the HYDRA logo. Check them out below!

The film stars Chris Evans, Hugo Weaving, Tommy Lee Jones, Neal McDonough, Sebastian Stan, Dominic Cooper, Hayley Atwell and Toby Jones.

Captain America: The First Avenger is slated to hit theaters on July 22nd, 2011.
