Captain America Rocks The Box Office; Casts the Killing Curse on Harry Potter

Paramount Pictures‘ and Marvel Studios‘ current film, Captain America: The First Avenger directed by Joe Johnston took the number one box office spot this weekend with $65.8 million, dethroning the boy wizard who dropped to second place, taking only $48 million over the weekend.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 certainly has nothing to be ashamed of though, having brought in $640.2 million worldwide and earning the top midnight gross, largest opening day, largest worldwide opening weekend, and becoming the third highest-grossing movie of 2011 so far.
