CAPRICA : Second Half Of First Season Will Be Worth The Wait

Though it may seem like forever to wait for SyFy’s BSG spin-off series Caprica to return to air, the producers of the show assure fans that these episodes will be worth the wait. The second half of the freshman season of Caprica, which includes nine more episodes, will air in January of 2011. Executive producer David Eick talks about the difference between the two halves and how it will pay off:

“In the second half, we felt like we were able to really isolate and identify, define our characters, in a way that we were still trying to figure out in the first half. And in so doing, we have freed ourselves to tell stories with much more suspense and action – a lot of spectacle, a lot of visual effects.

We deepen the mythology of the virtual world and what we know as New Cap City, in terms of how Zoe (Alessandra Torresani) is able to harness it to express herself.”

Executive producer Ron Moore echoes Eick’s sentiments and adds that the second half of the season has a build-up of pace:

“The second half of the season starts to pay off a lot of that setup. The characters start going into different directions [and] the plot starts moving faster.”

What do you think? How would you like to see the season progress?
