We had some great fun in March with the releasing of the portraits on the Capitol Couture website promoting the movie The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. The website has been revamped to host all of the high fashion Capitol couture you could feast your eyes on.

I’ll post just a few tastes here today and for the next few days as more looks are released to represent the the districts, but you’ll want to check out the whole site at Capitol Couture. It looks as though it will even play host to the release of the Cover Girl make up line we reported on earlier this week.

First feast your eyes on Effie Trinket (Elizabeth Banks).

Since guiding her tributes to victory, District 12’s exuberant escort Effie Trinket has quickly become an icon of the 74th Games, and a Capitol phenomenon. Effie has built her larger-than-life persona through a persevering positive attitude, and the best manners and fashion sense in the Capitol. Capitol citizens are likely to spot her trailed by snapping cameras, posing with her ever-present, ebullient smile.

And check out this high fashion tribute to District 8 and District 10.

I think the whole campaign is awesome. The Capitol is so completely out of touch with the districts that this viral marketing seems completely realistic to the story, and the outlandish, futuristic indulgence is just awesome.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, starring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Donald Sutherland, Stanley Tucci, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Elizabeth Banks, is slated to hit theaters on November 22nd, 2013.
