Lauren Shuler Donner recently revealed that the young mutant movie X-Men: First Class was moving along swiftly, thanks in part to a script by Chuck creator – Josh Schwartz. Now we have word that the film also has a director, and his name is Bryan Singer.
Singer has stated his desire to jump back into the X-World for some time, and his long history with X-Films made him seem like a natural choice for any of the upcoming films. Singer recently confirmed that he was all set for the film at the Los Angeles premiere of Avatar.
Talking to MySpace on the red carpet, Singer said,
“I’m ramping up to do a movie called Jack The Giant Killer at Warner Bros, and I just yesterday signed a deal to do an X-Men: First Class Origins picture, which is kind of cool. I’m very excited.”
