Bryan Singer’s JACK THE GIANT KILLER To Start Production In July

While we were less than excited to hear that director Bryan Singer had decided to merely produce X-Men: First Class, to instead direct a remake of the 1962 film, Jack the Giant Killer. Despite his absence from the X-Films, we are looking forward to seeing what Singer brings to the screen with Jack.

JACK THE GIANT KILLER tells the tale in which the long-standing peace between men and giants is threatened, and a young farmer leads an expedition into the giants’ kingdom in hopes of rescuing a kidnapped princess.

Production Weekly is reporting that “Bryan Singer’s “Jack The Giant Killer” has opened production offices in Robertson Plaza, it will shoot in London & Iceland beginning in July” and the film is slated to hit theaters in 2011.
