Bruce Campbell Tweets About Shoot Date And His Character of Ash In EVIL DEAD Remake

You know what makes Bruce Campbell that much more awesome? He interacts with his fans! In the last few days, he has tweeted on the subject of the remake of Sam Raimi’s 1981 cult classic The Evil Dead. Campbell has most joyously teamed up with Sam Raimi and Evil Dead producer Rob Tapert again on this project .

Check out what Campbell revealed and confirmed to fans via Twitter below:

“Remake, not sequel. Shooting early 2012. Fear it.”

“No Ash character currently.”

“ED remake is a re-telling. All bets are off & all involved love the new approach.”

“It will be the most leading original remake.”

Very interesting… No Ash? How will this remake be minus Ash? Will it be a character like him but named something else? Bruce, give us more details!

Raimi has enlisted Fede Alvarez (Panic Attack) to write the script with Rodo Sayagues and with Diablo Cody revising the draft. Ghost House Pictures will be onboard this remake. Campbell will also indeed be making a cameo of some kind in the film.
