Brent Spiner Plus WAREHOUSE 13 Equals Our Summer Made

There will be much rejoicing throughout the land as word spreads that our beloved Brent Spiner (Star Trek: The Next Generation) will be joining our beloved Warehouse 13 for at least 6 episodes starting with the season premiere on July 23. And get this – he’ll be playing Brother Adrian, leader of a top-secret sect known as the Brotherhood of the Knights of the Black Diamond.

You gotta hand it to Warehouse 13 showrunner Jack Kenny – he knows his audience. What a nerdgasm he’s serving up for all of us on the season premiere! Data! Top secret sect! With a cool name! And there’s even more – it will be in effect a rematch between Data and Kivas Fajo as Brent Spiner faces off with Saul Rubinek once more. Remember, the first time was in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode “The Most Toys” wherein Kivas Fajo (Rubinek) collected rare and precious objects, and wanted to include Data (Spiner) in his holdings.

Roles will be reversed this time, however, since Rubinek is of course the good guy on Warehouse 13. TV Guide broke the news, and reports that Jack Kenny says this about the storyline:

The Brotherhood is descended from the Knights Templar and connected to the Vatican. It is charged with the protection of many powerful artifacts, one of which Artie desperately needs to make everything right again…  (But) the use of this object will unleash an incredible evil and Brother Adrian is not about to see that happen… He heads a sect that is powerful and obsessively devoted and follows no rules. The Brotherhood will do anything to achieve its goals. They are gifted fighters who are willing to go to their deaths, if necessary.

Squee! Oh yes, we are so very in.

Warehouse 13 Season 4, starring Joanne Kelley, Eddie McClintock, Allison Scagliotti, and Saul Rubinek, premieres July 23 at 9/8c on Syfy.
