Bill Nighy to Become the Villain in Stuart Beattie’s I, FRANKENSTEIN

Back in October, we brought you the news when actor Aaron Eckhart (The Expatriate, Pan) scored the role of Adam Frankenstein in the big-screen adaptation of Underworld co-creator Kevin Grevioux‘s graphic novel I, Frankenstein.

Now, Variety reports that actor Bill Nighy (Jack the Giant Killer, Total Recall) has joined the cast as a villainous demon prince, alongside Socratis Otto (Gone) as one of his evil henchmen who is tasked with tracking and capturing Adam Frankenstein (Aaron Eckhart).

Synopsis:

I, FRANKENSTEIN is a modern-day epic:  Frankenstein’s creature, ADAM, has survived to present day due to a genetic quirk in his creation.  Making his way to a dark, gothic metropolis, he finds himself caught in an all-out, centuries old war between two immortal clans.

I, Frankenstein is slated to hit theaters on February 22, 2013.
