While rumors of Bill Murray’s role in the forthcoming Ghostbusters 3 have been floating around for quite awhile now, we have yet to get any official confirmation from him. Now, speaking with mailonsunday, Murray not only confirmed that he’d be in the movie but confirmed what had been rumored by many (including Sigourney Weaver) about his role in the film. The rumor was that Dr. Peter Venkman (Bill Murray) would appear in Ghostbusters 3 as a ghost, not only did Murray confirm this rumor but explained that he wouldn’t even do the movie unless he was in fact a ghost! Here’s what Murray had to say,

“I said to them, ‘I’ll do it if you kill me off in the first reel.’ So now they are going to have me as a ghost in the film.”
