I considered having this entire first paragraph be nothing but I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS MOVIE over and over but realized it would be journalistically unprofessional. The sentiment, however, is true. I already could barely wait for Star Trek Into Darkness, and now there’s this new teaser trailer, which premiered in front of screenings of Oz the Great and Powerful over the weekend.

Does anyone know any currently workable way to make time go faster? And no, losing an hour over the weekend was not enough.

I have the Star Trek app referred to at the end of the trailer (it’s really fun, and you can find most of the pictures and trailers you need to complete the levels right here on SciFiMafia.com). I am fairly certain that the “see the movie first, get the exclusive app” is referring to the fact that the app includes a Fandango link to tickets for the “fan sneaks”, the IMAX screening of the movie on May 15, a day and a a few hours before the official premiere at midnight on May 17.

At my preferred theater they’ve added a second “fan sneak” screening, so they’ll be showing it at 8pm and 11pm. Good news for those who prefer the late night time slot. This also means that the movie will definitely not be overly long, although I’ll take every single minute they’d like to present to us. RIGHT NOW.

Star Trek Into Darkness, starring Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Benedict Cumberbatch, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin, Bruce Greenwood, and Alice Eve,  is slated to hit theaters on May 17, 2013 (with an early IMAX sneak peek on May 15).
