Perhaps it’s because of Boston, but the thing that strikes me most about the new, third trailer for I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS MOVIE Star Trek Into Darkness is Michael Giacchino‘s score. The man’s work is brilliant. He did particularly amazing work on Lost, and equally amazing but quite different work on the first Star Trek movie, which is reflected but not duplicated on this trailer.

Spoiler alert: If you really want to, you can spoil yourself about at least one little plot point of the movie if you hyper-analyze this trailer. Up to you. I only know about it because I scour the world of entertainment news all day long, including news posted by people who enjoy hyper-analyzing.
