Battle The Red Queen With Alice! New ‘Alice’ Video Game

You will soon be able to do battle in Wonderland with the ‘Alice’ video game that Disney Interactive Studios and French developers Etranges Libellules is producing to compliment Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland” movie.  This game will be available for the Wii, DS, and PC though the DS version will pit Alice again the Red Queen’s Army instead of the Red Queen and Jabberwocky.  The game release date will coincide with the film’s release.  A promo app will be released in December.

The caps from the game look amazing!  It certainly captures the atmosphere of Tim Burton’s “Alice” quite nicely both in colors and in spirit.

Craig Relyea, senior vice president of global marketing of Disney Interactive offers his thoughts on this new take on ‘Alice’ in game format:

“These games fully capture the magnificent and whimsical world of Underland while experiencing key moments from the film.  More than just a retelling of the movie, ‘Alice in Wonderland’ introduces fans to an entirely new style of innovative gameplay designed to challenge the puzzle solving skills of older players while making the adventures accessible and enjoyable for the younger crowd. Innovative gameplay and distinct artistic styles on each platform gives players a range of unique and engaging experiences.”

I was more than a little curious of how this game would look and play in comparison to American McGee’s ‘Alice’ that I’m a huge fan of.  Give me a blunderbuss and some devil die and I’ll be a happy girl!  But add some puzzles?  I can’t wait!
