Back in January of 1998 – James Cameron’s Titanic won Golden Globes for both Best Motion Picture (Drama) and Best Director (amongst other awards). People talked about how wonderful the film was and it went on to gross over $1.8 Billion Worldwide. A few years after that, people started to realize that while the effects were incredible and the film was beautifully shot, “Titanic” had horrible dialogue and a mediocre story at best.

In completely unrelated news…

Avatar took home two of the most prestigious trophies at the Golden Globes last night. Already the second-highest grossing film of all-time, James Cameron’s Avatar won awards for Best Motion Picture (Drama), in addition to James Cameron himself garnering the award for Best Director.
