Earlier this month, we had reported that a posting on Ian McKellen‘s official site indicated that The Hobbit would start filming in June. That claim was later updated to July and then once again changed to state “at a time to be announced.” Now, Digital Spy spoke with Andy Serkis at the Jameson Empire Awards and he stated that the two Hobbit films are likely to start filming towards the end of this year.
