Now, THR reports that the studio has brought a new screenwriter, Andrew Baldwin (The Outsider) on to on write the screenplay based on Alex Garland‘s (28 Days Later) script which Beall was unable to deliver.

The film will see Logan 5 (Ryan Gosling), a “Sandman” whose job it was to put to permanent sleep those who try to escape mandatory death, the downside of the blissful existence in the domed city that protects the inhabitants who survived a 23rd Century apocalypse. Logan 5 then approaches his own death sentence, and goes on the run from his coworkers.
