That lengthy headline was put up in hopes that it would be clear that this is not about An Adventure in Space and Time, a special about the creation of Doctor Who in celebration of the 50th anniversary. Thank goodness the Matt Smith/David Tennant-starring 50th Anniversary special episode now has a name, and a lovely visual aid in the form of an awesome poster, which will hopefully keep this all clear from now on.

It will be 75 minutes long (which probably translates to 90 minutes with commercials), and rumor has it that it will be broadcast at the same time here as in the UK (just like the announcement of the 12th Doctor), though we are still waiting on official word from BBC America. We just couldn’t wait any longer to post that gorgeous poster.
