ALABAMA: New FX Show Spoofs STAR TREK, Takes RENO 911 To Space

FX Network takes comedy to space as Reno 911 vets Thomas Lennon and Ben Garant bring us a new show called Alabama. According to the network, this unofficial Star Trek parody is set thousands of years in the future and “follows the crew of the space ship, USS Alabama as they continue a seven-year mission to maintain interplanetary peace.”

A network rep elaborates on this scripted / improvised series:

“[Alabama] will follow the heart-pounding action as our crew visits hostile planets, meets alien life-forms, and tries to have sex with each other in their tiny, metal bunk beds.”

So, what do you think? Are you ready for Reno 911 in space?
