Adam Beach Joins The Cast Of Favreau’s COWBOYS AND ALIENS


Director Jon Favreau has added his first Apache to the cast of his upcoming film, Cowboys and Aliens. Adam Beach (Windtalkers, Flags of Our Fathers) has joined a cast that includes Daniel Craig, Sam Rockwell, Olivia Wilde, Paul Dano and Harrison Ford. Beach is set to play Nat Colorado, a half-Apache Indian who works for Ford’s character, Woodrow Dollarhyde.

Beach is Canadian Saulteaux First Nation, a branch of the Ojibwa nation from Western Canada. In 2007, Beach starred as Sioux advocate, author and medical doctor Charles Eastman in HBO Films’ adaptation of Dee Brown‘s, Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee.

The Cowboys and Aliens screenplay is being written by Roberto Orci (Star Trek), Alex Kurtzman (Transformers) and Damon Lindelof (Lost) and the film is slated to hit theaters on July 29th, 2011.
