For any one who has read the book Divergent by Veronica Roth, they would know that the knife throwing scene is a pretty pivotal one in the story. This scene is our first look at Shailene Woodley in her role as Tris in the upcoming film based on the book. And I think the verdict can be, so far so good.

I for one really wish this had been a wider shot and we had seen the group and thrower involved, but it’s a nice first little sample.

Divergent, starring Kate Winslet, Shailene Woodley, Ashley Judd, Ray Stevenson,  Ansel Elgort, Theo James, Miles Teller, Jai Courtney, Zoe Kravitz,  Maggie Q, Ben Lloyd-Hughes, Ben Lamb, Christian Madsen and Tony Goldwyn is slated to hit theaters on March 21, 2014.
