More Casting and Production News on The CW’s ARROW Pilot

We are all very excited about the progress of the pilot for The CW‘s Arrow, based on DC Comics‘ Green Arrow. We just have to keep reminding ourselves that it’s the pilot only; it won’t be a series until The CW says so. In the meantime, although not official, we have some casting news, as well as news of a milestone met.

As for casting, GreenArrowTV has reported the following information: Roger Cross (FringeThe Gates, 24) is playing Detective Hilton, Det. Quentin Lance’s partner; Darren Shahlavi (Human TargetSanctuary) is playing bad guy Constantine Drakon; and The Bold and the Beautiful‘s Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Final Destination 5) is playing Sarah Lance, Laurel’s sister, who will show up in scenes about Green Arrow’s origin.

According to star Stephen Amell, they completed shooting the pilot yesterday, as he posted on his Facebook page: “I can’t figure out if it feels like we just started or if feels like we’ve been shooting forever… Either way, it’s our last day on the Arrow pilot; the absolute time of my life.” This was followed eleven hours later with “Wrapped. Amazingballs!!” and a video in which he said that, although the shoot was over, the pilot was now heading for post-production work.

He has also posted this picture of himself:

Squee! We will absolutely keep you posted.
