Just yesterday, we brought you some photos from the set of the Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures Superman reboot, Man of Steel, directed by Zack Snyder. The film stars Henry Cavill, Michael Shannon and Amy Adams, and is slated to hit theaters on June 14th, 2013.

Now, THR reports that there’s been a new addition to the cast. Clark Kent’s Daily Planet boss will be portrayed by none other than Emmy nominated actor, Laurence Fishburne (The Matrix, Contagion). Jackie Cooper portrayed Perry White in Superman: The Movie, and it’s sequels with Christopher Reeve, by Michael McKean in The CW series Smallville, and by Frank Langella in Bryan Singer’s 2006 film, Superman Returns.

Man of Steel, directed by Zack Snyder and starring Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Antje Traue, Russell Crowe, Laurence Fishburne and Julia Ormond is slated to hit theaters in 2012.
