Beware, fairy tale characters. A Tauron enforcer is heading to NBC’s new series, Grimm. Actor, Sasha Roiz, who played Sam Adama in the Battlestar Galactica prequel series Caprica, has been cast as the captain of the police force in this “dark but fantastical cop drama about a world in which characters inspired by Grimm’s Fairy Tales exist”.
Roiz has snagged the last regular role in the pilot and joins David Giuntoli who plays lead character, Nick Burckhardt, Russell Hornsby as Nick’s partner, Silas Weir Mitchell as “a reformed big bad wolf”, and Bitsie Tullouch as Nick’s love interest.
[The Shakedown]
It was only a matter of time before Sasha Roiz would be snatched up for a pilot this coming fall season. His role in Caprica is one that stuck with you and made you wonder more about Tauron culture and the history of the Adama family. I am greatly pleased to see Roiz cast in Grimm.
I was envisioning him in 17th Precinct myself because of Ron Moore recruiting from his BSG talent pool, but Grimm seems promising, and heck… we need more fantasy in our television diet! With David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf behind the series, I will definitely be watching this pilot.
