Screen Gems Producing Big-Screen Adaptation of Capcom’s DEVIL MAY CRY

Sony’s Screen Gems has announced that they will be producing a big-screen adaptation of the Capcom video game, Devil May Cry, created by Hideki Kamiya. The script is being written by Kyle Ward (Fiasco Heights, Kane & Lynch) who is also writing the screenplay for Hitman 2.

Screen Gems is no stranger to video game adaptations, or even Capcom adaptations, as they are the studio responsible for the Resident Evil adaptations as well.

The story of Devil May Cry centers on Dante, a white haired young man who’s goal is to avenge his mother’s murder by exterminating demons.

No production or release dates for Devil May Cry have been announced.
