Just a couple of weeks ago, Warner Bros. Pictures officially announced that Anne Hathaway (Love and Other Drugs) had been cast as Selina Kyle/Catwoman in director Christopher Nolan‘s forthcoming, final entry in his Bat-Trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises.
During a recent interview, Christopher Nolan’s go-to cinematographer Wally Pfister spoke with Brendon at Bleeding Cool and here’s what he had to say about Ms. Hathaway’s screen test:
“She looks phenomenal in the wardrobe.”
Thankfully, he had the presence of mind to come back and ask Pfister if his statement meant what it seems to mean, to which the cinematographer replied:
“Brendon, I’d get fired and I wouldn’t even get to shoot the picture… I can’t really say, but I definitely want to be around next year…”
Christopher Nolan will direct the film from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jonathan Nolan, from a story by Christopher Nolan and David S. Goyer. Goyer will also produce the film with Charles Roven and Nolan’s longtime producing partner, Emma Thomas.
The Dark Knight Rises is slated to hit theaters on July 20th, 2012.
