Producer Frank Marshall has revealed that a proposed fourth installment of Jurassic Park is “a long shot”, according to reports.
Speaking to i09, Marshall admitted that a continuation of the dinosaur movies were more of a “backburner project”.
He said:
“I just think, I have to see if they can come up with a story, we don’t have a story yet. At this point, you could call it a long shot.”
His producing partner Kathleen Kennedy was previously quoted as saying that a follow-up would not transpire in the wake of author Michael Crichton’s death.
Universal had commissioned screenplays from John Sayles and William Monahan on the possible sequel.
