We reported long ago that Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick were hired to write the screenplay for Deadpool, starring Ryan Reynolds and Reynolds had said at one point that he would love for Quentin Tarantino to direct the film. Now, Tarantino’s fellow director and faithful amigo, Robert Rodriguez (Machete) has been offered the gig by 20th Century Fox.

Production Weekly states that 20th Century Fox has only offered the job to Rodriguez at this point and the director is considering it.
