Back in January we told you that Fox had turned the Planet of the Apes reboot project over to producer Peter Chernin and hired writer Jamie Moss to revise Frank’s version, in addition to bringing scribes Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver (The Relic) back to polish the dialogue.

Now, Deadline is reporting that director Rupert Wyatt (The Escapist) has been brought in by 20th Century Fox to direct the new Apes project.
