Looks like “Heroes” star Sendhil Ramamurthy is in high demand. Ramamurthy was involved in the NBC pilot, “Rex Is Not Your Lawyer”, starring David Tennant, but dropped out before the pilot was put on hold. Now USA has cast him in a new spy drama, called “Covert Affairs”. Ramamurthy fills a vacancy in the show left by Eric Lively who played a third-generation CIA agent in the pilot, but Ramamurthy will play a new regular role as another CIA agent.

“Covert Affairs” stars Piper Perabo as Annie Walker, “a multilingual CIA trainee unexpectedly promoted to field operative while reeling over a mysterious ex-boyfriend who appears to be of particular interest to her agency bosses.” The show also stars Christopher Gorham, Peter Gallagher, Kari Matchett, Anne Dudek, and Eion Bailey.
