Director Sam Raimi is rumored to be producing and directing a reboot of The Shadow. According to IESB, the project is set up at Sony with Raimi attached to produce. Sources say that he is looking to direct the venture as well. The script for the reboot has reportedly been written by newcomer Slavash Farahani.

Alec Baldwin starred in the original 1994 film version of The Shadow. The movie was based on a collection of serialized dramas, originally on 1930s radio and then in a wide variety of media, that follow the exploits of the title character, a crime-fighting vigilante with psychic powers.
