This week we’re covering Doozers.

doozers

I’ll be looking directly at a specific generation for this web series. Children of the 1980’s, you’ll remember a little television gem known as Fraggle Rock (Dance your cares away *clap clap* worry’s for another day, Let the music play *clap clap* down at Fraggle Rock). Well, wouldn’t you know that the workaholic Doozers (Work your cares away, dancing’s for another day, let the Fraggles play) have gotten their own animated web series courtesy of Hulu.

Jim Henson’s Doozers premieres Thursday and the show is really less 80’s nostalgia and more preschool friendly Bob The Builder type. It’s cute and great for preschoolers, especially when you’re looking for more on-the-go materia, but your parental trip down memory lane would be best served with a YouTube of the theme to Fraggle Rock. Here’s the synopsis for the show, followed by a very short teaser.

Meet the Doozers! They’re green, they’re cute, they’re three inches tall, and they’re full of energy, ideas, and enthusiasm. Kids will love the Doozers because they’re DOERS – they put their ideas into action and always have a fantastic time!

So introduce a preschooler you know to Jim Henson’s Doozers on Hulu and then play them the theme song to Fraggle Rock.

And that theme song stuck in your head for the rest of the day? That was free of charge. You’re welcome.

I give Doozers Four out of Five Stars.
