You read that correctly. The Man, The Myth, The Legend – Bruce Campbell was at the premiere for Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs on Saturday, and told Access Hollywood that not only will Spider-Man 4 begin shooting in January 2010 , but that he’ll have a larger part as well:

Bruce has done many television and movie projects and made memorable cameos in the first three “Spider-Man” films.

Now, it seems he may finally have a bigger role this time around with the Spidey franchise.

Bruce told Access Hollywood that in the next installment in the superhero franchise, he’s been told he has a major part – but didn’t yet know anything about his character.

Access Hollywood speculates that he will take the role of a villain, possibly the role of Mysterio ‘ the master of illusion’, as fans have speculated on and off throughout the franchise’s history, but there isn’t any evidence to support those claims, as of yet.
