The story behind The Host is extremely character driven. How could it not be with an alien race that takes over by inhabiting humans in a parasitic nature?  In most cases, when the alien “Soul” takes over the Human Host Body the human inside is lost, but in the case of our heroine Melanie (Saoirse Ronan), she not only remains, but fights to survive, and works with the alien inside her named Wanda or The Wanderer.

The first featurette here is the introduction of the two-in-one character that is Melanie/Wanda and the second introduces us to Ian O’Shea (Jake Abel).
