I love zombies, I mean who doesn’t? Sure they’re rotted, disgusting, smelly, utterly repulsive to look at,…but at least they don’t sparkle *snap*. But in the end, the rotted undead are close to many of our hearts because of their determination. Their determination to end their hunger…by eating us in a wondrous gorefest. Not pleasant but its a step closer to help end world hunger. But now, we can channel those destructive undead tendencies towards something better.
World Zombie Day 2009, a day zombie lovers can join together to help end world hunger. WZD basically is a charity walk, zombies are encouraged to bring non-perishable food stuffs to the starting points. Sadly, brains are perishable.
Check out World Zombie Day’s Myspace for the information on the particpating cities. Cities include; Detroit and Flint Michigan, Jacksonville Florida, Kanasas City Missouri, London and Worcestor in the UK, Shreveport Louisiana, Westminster Maryland, and of course…one of the sacred sights of Zombidom; the Monroeville Mall in Pittsburgh.
World Zombie Day takes places on October 11, so go ahead, grab those dirty torn up clothes, throw on some fake blood and viscera, grab a few cans of food and go drag yourself around town.
