The latest teaser trailer from Starz/BBC’s Torchwood still is just that – a tease of what Miracle Day means to the people of Earth and leaves the consequences up to your imagination. But would it help to know that Star Trek’s Q, John de Lancie, has joined the cast in an unspecified guest starring role?

Like Doctor Who that the series spun off from, this season of the series will have episodes that take place stateside. Torchwood: Miracle Day, a ten episode season, will premiere on July 8, 2011 on BBC One in the UK and Starz stateside. Check out the trailer below.

John de Lancie (Breaking Bad, The Unit), pictured above, joins Torchwood regulars, John Barrowman and Eve Myles as well as new villain Bill Pullman (Too Big To Fail), Mekhi Phifer (ER), Arlene Tur (Crash), Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under), Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters), Alexa Havins (All My Children), and Dichen Lachman (Dollhouse) on the show.
