It was revealed at Comic-Con 2013 that IDW and the BBC were coming to the end of their Doctor Who US distribution license. It would now appear that the bidding war between Boom! Comics, Arcana Studio and Titan Books has ended, with Titan being awarded the distribution rights to the classic series.

Bleedingcool.com is reporting that, as of Friday morning, Titan has won the US license and will begin release of comics featuring the Matt Smith and Peter Capaldi Doctors in the new year.

Additionally, despite Titan‘s best attempts, Panini Comics still holds the comic distribution rights in the UK.
