After all the coverage of the recent 50th anniversary of Doctor Who, we needed a break, right? Are you crazy? Of course not. Thank goodness for the upcoming Christmas special. And here’s the latest: BBC America has confirmed via its Facebook page that the Doctor Who Christmas Special, Doctor Who: The Time of the Doctor, will premiere  – well, I’ll let them tell it:

So, plenty of time to open presents, accidentally break something, eat far more candy than anyone ever should, take a nap from the sugar low, and get all set up in front of the TV before the broadcast begins. Geronimo! Oh dear, maybe the last time for that…

Doctor Who: The Time of the Doctor, starring Matt Smith, Jenna Coleman, and probably a very brief appearance by Peter Capaldi, airs Wednesday, December 25 at 9/8c on BBC America.
