We saw Theo James (Divergent) in Underworld: Awakening as David, and he’ll be back and leading this fifth film in the vampire franchise, Underworld: Next Generation, though this time without Kate Beckinsale (Selene).

His will be more of a spinoff film for a deeper look at his character rather than a reboot, reports THR, and two new female leads are currently being cast. No date has yet been set on the release of the film, but I imagine he’s got time to work on it now that Insurgent (Divergent‘s sequel) has wrapped and its subsequent films Allegiant Part 1 and 2 have yet to begin filming.
