The deals are closing on the Fantastic Four cast. We brought you several possibilities last month in a list that included, Kit Harrington, Richard Madden, Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara, and Saoirse Ronan. So, who made the cut and who weaseled their way onto the list?

Meet the Human Torch, also knows as Johnny Storm who is being reimagined from the previously known version of the blonde white male to rising star Michael B. Jordan (Chronicle). He’s been pretty involved in this process for a while so we’re not surprised to hear this casting at all.

Next we’ll introduce you to Sue Storm, the Invisible Girl, Kate Mara. You’ll know her most recent work in House of Cards and the upcoming film Transcendence. Previously we’ve loved her work on American Horror Story: Murder House. This is the most interesting of the casting for me, because Kate Mara has most recently gone with very dislikable characters. This will a great change of pace for her.

Miles Teller (Divergent) has beaten out the competition for the role of Reed Richards, aka the stretchable Mr. Fantastic. He’s got several other projects in the works but I think after Divergent hits theaters we’re really going to see this actor becoming something of high demand.

Finally, Jamie Bell (Jumper, Snowpiercer) made a surprise appearance to the list and won the role of Ben Grimm, more commonly known in his rock-like form as The Thing. He’s another breakout actor who is going to surely be one to watch.
