Just eight more days until the worldwide simulcast of Doctor Who: The Day of the Doctor, which means of course that we have our daily countdown pic with the appropriate Doctor, Paul McGann. Quite the interesting new look he’s sporting, isn’t it?

It’s of course familiar if you watched the online prequel short “Night of the Doctor” posted here for your consumption yesterday. And wasn’t that an excellent reveal? I was completely gobsmacked. So very cool. So we have the very time-ly (sorry) countdown pic, plus a few screenshots from that prequel, plus a TV spot and featurette from one of the upcoming Doctor-related specials; check it all out:

The Science of Doctor Who with Brian Cox premieres Monday, November 18th at 10/9c on BBC America.

Doctor Who: The Day of the Doctor starring Matt Smith, David Tennant, Jenna Coleman, Billie Piper, Joanna Page, Jemma Redgrave and John Hurt will air November 23rd at 2:50pm Eastern on BBC America. BBC AMERICA will encore the special in primetime at 7:00pm ET with exclusive Inside Looks with Matt Smith and David Tennant.
