Paramount Pictures and Marvel Studios have decided to release a teaser trailer for a teaser trailer? If you have already seen Captain America: The First Avenger, and stayed until after the credits, you have already seen this clip and post-credits teaser before.

If you haven’t seen that movie and don’t want anything spoiled, don’t watch it, because it shows the last minutes of the Cap movie before the teaser starts, which (in my opinion) is a bad move on the studio’s part, but they’re obviously trying to get butts in theater seats to see the movie, or see it again.

All that said, check it out below if you want… The Avengers teaser was definitely cool and this only gives a taste of that. The theatrical version of the teaser also shows more footage of Hawkeye, S.H.I.E.L.D. agents and Black Widow in action.

The Avengers starring Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Samuel L. Jackson, Jeremy Renner, Clark Gregg and Tom Hiddleston is slated to hit theaters on May 4th, 2012.
