Warner Home Video has announced the title for its next direct-to-DVD animated feature film: Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths. The film will be released in spring 2010, with the exact street date TBA.
Justice League’s Dwayne McDuffie penned the script, with the plot being culled from DC Comics’ “Crisis” storylines. The toon will be directed by Lauren Montgomery and Sam Liu, with Bruce Timm exec producing.
The star-studded voice cast includes NCIS’s Mark Harmon as Superman, Backdraft’s William Baldwin as Batman, James Woods as Owlman, Sex and the City’s Chris Noth as Lex Luthor, Firefly’s Gina Torres as Superwoman, and Bruce Davison (Senator Kelley in the X-Men films) as the President of the United States.
The Official Plot Synopsis:
“In Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths, a ‘good’ Lex Luthor arrives from an alternate universe to recruit the Justice League to help save his Earth from the Crime Syndicate, a gang of villainous characters with virtually identical super powers to the Justice League. What ensues is the ultimate battle of good versus evil in a war that threatens both planets and, through a diabolical plan launched by Owlman, puts the balance of all existence in peril.”
