DC Animation and Warner Bros. team up for an animated feature for DVD out next spring. “Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths” combine the talents of award-winning animation/ comics writer Dwayne McDuffie (Justice League) with Lauren Montgomery (Wonder Woman, Green Lantern) and Sam Liu (Superman/Batman: Public Enemies) co-directing. Bruce Timm (Superman Doomsdan, Green Lantern) is executive producing the project.
According to the press release for the animated DVD, “a ‘good’ Lex Luthor arrives from an alternate universe to recruit the Justice League to help save his Earth from the Crime Syndicate, a gang of villainous characters with virtually identical super powers to the Justice League. What ensues is the ultimate battle of good versus evil in a war that threatens both planets and, through a diabolical plan launched by Owlman, puts the balance of all existence in peril.”
An all-star cast is set to voice our favorite superheroes:
- Mark Harmon (NCIS) – Superman
- James Woods (Ghosts of Mississippi) – Owlman
- Chris Noth (Sex and the City, Law & Order) – Lex Luthor
- William Baldwin (Dirty Sexy Money) – Batman
- Gina Torres (Serenity, Firefly) – Super Woman
- Bruce Davison (X-Men) – the President
